Why? Because I work at a world wide retailer that we will call 'mega-mart' for now as a cashier, which means I deal with everybody in the store, the managers, other cashiers, the unwashed masses of customers, the stockers, everybody.
Now working here isn't all that bad. The money is good, the benefits are good, and generally the people are pretty pleasant to deal with.
But some people make me feel violent.
Which brings me to my rant. I was having a rough day a few weeks ago and this seemingly healthy (albeit fat) lady, wearing a UT visor, with two legs, that appeared to be in working condition, came through my checkout lane in one of our motorized carts we have for the elderly and disabled.
What if some decrepit old man needed that cart but couldn't get it just because you didn't want to drag your own fat tushie across the store to get Crisco to spread on your thighs to keep them from chaffing, or flour for your chicken fried bacon recipe? Go have a loving heart attack, if you are too lazy to get off your fat tushie and pull your own weight to buy groceries, then you are worthless hunk of cultural dead weight and our society as a whole does not need you.
What made this worse is that her daughter was right behind her, also riding one of our motorized carts that are, allow me to reiterate, for the elderly and disabled.
We have signs on the back of the carts that say, "For in store use only."
I think we need signs that say, "Not for fat people!"
